These quilts started in Spring of 2006. I wanted to do an art quilt of a cityscape. I had been hearing on that first class postage was increasing. The next thing you know I was sketching a Baltimore cityscape featuring all the unique Baltimore architecture along with a Maryland crab on a huge stamp. My guild members loved it and wanted a pattern. Because we lived so close to D.C. - many wanted D.C. not Baltimore. I have also designed a DC stamp with cherry blossoms and monuments. Baltimore was released in March 2008, follwed by Washington D.C. in June 2008, and NYC in September 2008. Philadelphia is next!
