This series started as an art quilt commemorating Baltimore, MD, in Spring of 2006. I wanted to do an art quilt of a cityscape. I had been hearing that first class postage was increasing. The next thing you know I was sketching a faux Baltimore cityscape featuring all the unique Baltimore architecture along with a Maryland crab on a huge stamp. My guild members loved it and wanted a pattern. The Baltimore pattern debuted in March 2008, followed by more CityStamps™, GetAwayStamps™, StateStamps™ and NationStamps™.
