Queen of Hearts II

This art quilt was made using the 2008 Hoffman Challenge fabrics.

In 2006 I made a very similar quilt, however when I shipped it, it was lost/stolen in transit. My big mistake was putting "quilt" in the contents line!

It was insured so I did get my cost out of it, but it was disappointing to not have made it to the competition that year.

Perseverance was the key word this year in 2008! I remade the quilt changing it quite a bit to highlight the 2008 focus fabric. The Queen is heavily embellished with glitter, brads and crystals. The due date for entry is July 2008. Will update this posting if I get in the show!

I have always been very attracted to playing cards. Playing cards were some of the first graphic elements ever printed.
